“Spiritual awakening is the easy part. Remembering who you really are, even in the midst of the challenges of human relationship, that’s where the real adventure begins…”
Is it possible to discover deep acceptance in your life, even in the midst of the ups and downs of human relationships? Is it possible to remember who you really are, even in the midst of the struggle of day-to-day life? In waking up to who we really are, we discover that we are not separate from each other. Spiritual teachers throughout the ages have spoken of the non-existence of the separate self. But where does human relationship come into this? Doesn’t there need to be a ‘self’ and an ‘other’ for relationship to be possible? Or, does the inseparability of life mean that in fact everything is relationship? Is nonduality the end of relationship…. or just the beginning?
What happens in our relationships when there is no more seeking? What happens when you are no longer using somebody else to complete yourself, because you realise that on the deepest level you are already complete? And what does it mean to really hear another person’s perspective, free from the filter of thought and judgement? What happens when we truly meet in the here and now, beyond our roles, beyond our stories about each other, beyond our expectations? What happens in our intimate relationships when we stop pretending to be something that we are not? Are authentic love, radical honesty, and true forgiveness, really possible in this lifetime?
In a lively and intimate meeting, Jeff Foster will explore all these issues and more. With his gentle and loving guidance, he will point us back to who we really are, to the timeless present moment, and to the vast, loving, open space of awareness that embraces every thought, every sensation, every feeling as it comes and goes. He will show us the deep acceptance inherent in our present experience, even in the midst of the messiness of intimate human relationships. He will show us the place where true relationship really begins.
Silence, laughter, lightness, a sense of real intimacy, honesty and friendship are the hallmarks of encounters with Jeff. His meetings are very spontaneous and informal, and there are plenty of opportunities to share and ask questions, if you are so moved. And of course, if you just want to sit in silence and listen, then that’s fine too…
